He's also said to be the one who carries the objects that wash up on shore, including driftwood and corpses.
While the Ebisu in mythology is disabled, this version of Ebisu does not appear to be disabled (or may formerly have been; his background hasn't been revealed in canon yet). This Ebisu is also not nearly as jolly as the myths would suggest, often putting on a smiling face in public that hides a bitter attitude.
ic offensive subjects: None, but be warned that Ebisu hates youkai and this may extend to other non-humans as well, depending on how far they are from a baseline human. He will still interact with them, but it turns his otherwise seemingly kind nature into something way more passive-aggressive.
